ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih appointed Deputy Director General for Administrative Affairs and Director for Sectoral Relations and Social Development

Today Artem Filipyev, who is still Deputy General Director for Legal Issues, Interaction with Government Bodies and Communications, took up the newly created position of Deputy General Director for Legal Issues at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. In his new position, Artem will be responsible for personnel management, interaction with government authorities, communication and legal issues. The company expanded Artyom’s area of ​​responsibility after successfully resolving a number of legal, reputation and GR issues during a difficult period of increased government attention to the company, market turmoil and the COVID-19 pandemic. “Artem helped lead the company through numerous difficulties and achieve many victories. I am fully confident in his management skills, understanding of our business and the ability to see the essence of the problem. Yulia Chermazovich, still Director of Human Resources, was appointed by the company as Director of Industry Relations and Social Development. She will focus on sustainable development of the enterprise and will continue to develop the company’s strategic relationship with trade unions, industry associations, educators and local communities. “Julia has made an invaluable contribution to developing productive relationships with educators, union leaders and our local community. She will be ArcelorMittal’s ambassador and advocate in Ukraine and internationally. ecosystems that we are developing, ”said Mauro Longobardi. Recently, Julia has spearheaded a successful initiative to relaunch strategic relationships with 11 unions working at the plant. The New Factory project, initiated by her, in partnership with two leading Kryvyi Rih universities and the program to attract young people to careers in metallurgy, received positive feedback from the educational community and other partners. The new appointments reflect the general direction of changes in the corporation aimed at sustainable development and improving the quality of management in our region. Both managers will continue to report directly to the General Director of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. Artem Filipyev began his career in 2003 as head of a charitable foundation that provides free legal assistance. Then he worked at the law firm Rechtsanwalt-Ukraine. In 2010-2011 he was the dean of the law faculty of the National University “Ostrog Academy”. After that, he returned to the corporate sector and held the position of General Counsel for a number of international companies. He joined ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih in 2018 as the Chief Legal Adviser of the Administration for Legal Affairs, and then took the position of Deputy General Director for Legal Affairs, Government Relations and Communications. He studied at the National University “Ostrog Academy” and at the University of Maastricht (Netherlands). Received a PhD in Law from the Institute of International Relations of the Kiev National University. T. Shevchenko. Yulia Chermazovich has been working at the enterprise for over 17 years. She started her career as a trainee. Successfully rose to leadership positions in 2018, was appointed Acting director, and then – the director of the personnel department. In this position, she was responsible for the implementation of the HR strategy, dealt with issues of content, motivation, training and development of personnel, attracting personnel, including youth, as well as increasing the prestige of the MMC professions. In 2004 she graduated from the Krivoy Rog Technical University with a master’s degree in Enterprise Economics.
