Kryvyi Rih, 8 February 2021 The total amount of taxes and fees paid by ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih amounted to almost UAH 6,400,000,000 in 2020. Of the total amount of taxes and fees, direct payments to budgets of various levels account for UAH 2.6 billion, the share of VAT paid at customs is almost UAH 2.8 billion, and a single social contribution is almost UAH 1 billion. Taking into account the import VAT, the enterprise received tax payments in the amount of UAH 3900000000 to the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine, and ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih transferred UAH 1500000000 to the local budgets. Despite the rather difficult situation for the entire business in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic, quarantine and lockdown, low prices and demand for metal products in the first half of last year, the company managed to ensure a stable level of payments of taxes and fees to budgets of all levels. This became a significant support in times of crisis for the state and local communities. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is one of the largest taxpayers in the country. Over the 15 years of ArcelorMittal’s operation in Ukraine, the enterprise has paid over UAH 75 billion in taxes and fees to the state: to the state budget – UAH 24 billion, to the local budget – over UAH 10 billion, VAT on imports – UAH 29 billion and a single social contribution – UAH 12 billion … At the same time, the environmental tax for this period amounted to more than 2 billion UAH.
