At the Ingulets mining and processing plant of Metinvest Group, a new tract of the ore cyclic-flow technology (CCT) complex was put into operation.
This is one of the largest mining projects of the company over the past decade. Metinvest invested about $ 50 million in the construction of the complex.
How the technology works
The CPT complex is located in a quarry, is a system of underground and surface conveyors and consists of two routes – the new Eastern and the existing Western. Ore is mined in the face, loaded by excavators into dump trucks, which deliver it to the transfer point, where the ore is crushed into large pieces. After grinding, the system of underground conveyors of the Eastern and Western tracts delivers the ore to the surface of the open pit, where it undergoes medium and fine crushing, and then goes for concentration. The ore travels the path from a 300-meter depth to the surface of the open pit in 15 minutes.
Construction of the complex lasted six years. During this time, we have completed capital mining and construction work, installed the main technological and auxiliary equipment. All work is automated – this allows you to fully control all the parameters of the equipment. Also, an automated aspiration unit is installed at the central heating center, which cleans the air from dust.
Why was the central heating center built
The launch of a complex of cyclical-flow technologies allows faster delivery of ore from the lower horizons of the pit and reduces the use of dump trucks. the cost of transporting ore.
In addition, due to environmentally friendly and economic conveyor transport in the quarry, the technogenic load on the environment will decrease, operating and maintenance costs will be reduced.
Inguletskiy The GOK is one of the largest mining enterprises in Ukraine. It specializes in the extraction and processing of ferruginous quartzites of the Inguletskoye deposit, located in the southern part of the Krivoy Rog iron ore basin. The plant extracts more than 30 million tons of iron ore and produces about 12 million tons of iron ore concentrate per year.
