General Director of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih Mauro Longobardi met with the Head of the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine Roman Opimakh

Kiev, January 22, 2021 Yesterday, a working meeting was held between the General Director of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih Mauro Longobardi and the Head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine Roman Opimakh, during which they discussed cooperation between the regulator and the company in over the past year, production plans for 2021, as well as further Service initiatives to improve services and investor attraction program. Mauro Longobardi, General Director of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih – We welcome the subsoil use reform initiated by the State Geological Survey, we hope that it will further promote the implementation of transparent and clear rules for regulating the mining industry, reduce bureaucratic pressure on business, and also to stimulate the flow of investments into the Ukrainian economy. We already feel the positive results of the changes introduced in the legislative field over the past year. Recently, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih defended its mining production program for 2021. The program contains plans for the development of interior and business units of the mining department, as well as a report on last year’s work. In 2020, the company managed to achieve high ore production and a record the figures for the production of iron ore concentrate – 10,700,000 tons In addition, the enterprise has completed all the necessary preparatory stages for successful work not only in the near future, but also until the end of the development of the car “interiors (within the next 25 years). A project has been developed for the reconstruction and development of interiors No. 2-bis and No. 3 to maintain an iron ore production capacity of 30 million tons per year by the end of mining. In parallel, the enterprise focuses on the implementation of the necessary environmental projects to reduce the fishing load on the environment.
