Russia in June 2020 increased the production of rolled steel by 2.4% compared to May, Rosstat reported.
Compared to June 2019, rolled steel production fell by 4.6% .
Production of rolled products in January-June of this year dropped by 1.8% compared to the same period last year, to 30.4 million tons.
Pig iron production (mirror and conversion in pigs, billets, etc.) in June compared to May decreased by 5.7%, compared to June last year, the increase was 0.4%.
For 6 months, pig iron production increased by 2, 2%, to 26.1 million tonnes.
The output of unalloyed steel in ingots and semi-finished products last month decreased by 3.4% compared to May; by June 2019, this figure fell by 5.7% … In January-June, the production of such steel decreased by 3.5% – to 28.5 million tons.
The production of steel pipes and fittings in June increased by 18.6% compared to May, and compared to June 2019 – decreased by 15.2%. For 6 months, the production of steel pipes and fittings fell by 13.4% compared to 2019, to 5.4 million tons.
