NBU strengthens the hryvnia against the dollar for the sixth day it took off

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the rate of 26 hryvnia 70 kopecks per dollar on June 5, which is five kopecks less than the official rate on June 4. The hryvnia has continued to strengthen for the sixth day in a row – after last week, for the first time in more than a month, the rate reached 27 hryvnia per dollar. Trading on the Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market is ending even lower than the official level – 26 hryvnia 66.5-68.5 kopecks per dollar, according to Finance.ua data as of 16:50 Kyiv time.

Analysts of the website “Ministry of Finance” indicated that, according to their estimates, a more significant strengthening of the national currency was prevented by the regulator, which first bought 20 million dollars from the market at the rate of 26.71 hryvnia, subsequently – about 50 million dollars at the rate of 26 , 68 hryvnia.
