NBU weakened the hryvnia by another penny against the dollar on the interbank market demand is growing

The National Bank of Ukraine set noon on October 15 as a reference rate of 28 hryvnia 33 kopecks per dollar, this is 1 kopeck more official rate for today. In the Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market in the first hours of the session, trading took place near the opening levels (28 hryvnia 33-35 kopecks per dollar), but as of 13:15, according to Finance.ua, the demand for the American currency increased, and quotations rose to 28 hryvnia 34-35.5 kopecks per dollar. Despite the growth last week, the hryvnia is still close to its lowest level this year (28.4 per dollar).

About two months ago, on August 17, trading ended at a hryvnia lower – at the level of 27 hryvnia 23.5-25.5 kopecks per unit of American currency.
