South Korea will issue a final anti-dumping decision on the import of flat products

According to the news, on May 20, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) of South Korea held a public hearing on an anti-dumping case on the import of stainless steel flat products from Taiwan, China and Indonesia.

Prior to this, MOTIE began investigating the case from September 2020, and also issued a preliminary ruling in February this year, which confirmed that imported goods from the three countries did indeed ship these goods to South Korea at below market prices. According to the preliminary decision, China’s anti-dumping tariff was 49.04%, Indonesia – 29.68%, Taiwan – 9.2-9.51%.

After a public hearing, the final decision was expected to be made by MOTIE in July this year.
