Taiwanese company Chung Hung will raise prices for June

Chung Hung Steel Corporation (CHS), one of the leading carbon steel producers in Taiwan, will announce prices for June. Due to the high price of slabs and the problem of shortages, CHS was expected to increase the price even more in June, and this increase will be higher than that of the parent company China Steel Corporation (CSC).

According to traders, it has been estimated that CHS can purchase slabs at roughly US $ 930-940 per ton, so the HRC price could be US $ 1,000 per ton.

Due to tremendous price pressures, CHS was expected to raise NT $ 28,000 and NT $ 3,000 per tonne for its hot rolled alloy and galvanized steel products in June, respectively.
