US supports Trump’s tariffs on steel and aluminum

New US President Biden saved the policy towards China pursued by the previous Trump administration. In addition, new Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said Trump’s tariffs on steel and aluminum are not ideal, but they have balanced the market. With policies aimed at balancing the market, the United States can provide jobs for domestic workers.

In 2018, former US President Trump imposed 25% tariffs on steel imports and 10% tariffs on aluminum imports under section 232, citing a threat to national security.
