According to the World Steel Association (worldsteel), Turkey, the second largest steel producer in Europe, produced 3.2 million tons of crude steel in July, an increase of 2.5% year on year.
In the first seven months of 2021, Turkey produced nearly 23 million tonnes of crude steel, up 17.7% over the same period a year ago.
The Turkish Iron and Steel Industry Association (TCUD) expected Turkey’s crude steel production to reach a new high of 39 million tonnes, up from 35.8 million tonnes in the previous year.
