The Department for the Protection of the Internal Market of the Eurasian Economic Commission has notified the start of an anti-dumping investigation against ferrosilicon manganese originating from Georgia and imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The object of investigation is ferrosilicomanganese, which is an alloy of iron, manganese and silicon with a manganese content of 30% to 75% by weight, silicon – from 8% to 35%, carbon – up to 3% by weight. Products are classified by code 7202 30 000 0 TN VED EAEU.
Among the initiators of the investigation are the Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant, the West Siberian Electrometallurgical Plant, the Taraz Metallurgical Plant, the Temirtau Electrometallurgical Plant, and the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant. The dumping margin on supplies of Georgian ferrosilicomanganese is estimated by them at 61%. Growth in imports of these products in 2016-2020 amounted to 125.9%, in 2020 – 10.8% on an annualized basis. …
Currently, a similar anti-dumping investigation is underway in relation to ferrosilicon manganese produced by Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises.
