The National Bank of Ukraine has been strengthening the hryvnia in the main currency pair for the seventh day in a row. At noon on June 5, the regulator set a reference value of the exchange rate of 26 hryvnia 60 kopecks per dollar, which is 10 kopecks less than the official rate for today. On the Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market, quotes fell below the NBU benchmarks, as of 13:15 are similar data from the regulator – 26 hryvnia 59-61 kopecks per dollar, according to data from Finance.ua.
The National Bank already in the first hour of trading came out with the redemption of the surplus dollar – first at the rate of 26.62, then – 26.60 hryvnia per unit of American currency, informs the website “Ministry of Finance”. The NBU has replenished its reserves by at least $ 100 million, experts say.
