Former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Danilyuk became director of the National Depository of Ukraine, the press service of the NDU said on September 25. The corresponding decision was made by the supervisory board at a meeting on September 24, the statement says. “Oleksandr Danilyuk, an independent director, was elected as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PJSC NDU. He has significant professional experience, knowledge and competence necessary for the effective work of the NDU Supervisory Board.
In 2019, Alexander served as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and from April 2016 to June 2018 he served as Minister of Finance of Ukraine. Nikolay Selekhman, a representative of the NBU shareholder, has been elected as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, ”NDU reports. The new composition of the NDU Supervisory Board was elected on 4 August.
The first meeting of the new membership of the NDU took place on September 3. The National Depository is a body established in 1999 that is responsible for accounting for all equity securities (except for those falling within the competence of the National Bank), maintaining registers of holders of registered securities and control over depository activities.
